Mission Statement:
We are a grassroots organization that provides a safe and open environment for women seeking support and social activities.
Vision Statement:
We will coordinate social activities, sponsor events, and provide a network for our community. As a collective body, we will be a powerful voice and a visible sign for our integration into the greater community.
Ground Rules for the Support Group:
1. Demonstrate respect for self and others in the group.
2. Please refrain from private conversations while others are speaking. Please turn off your cell phones.
3. Demonstrate common courtesy to other participants, remaining mindful of the courage we all demonstrate by merely being present. Voice opinions, values, perceptions, and even disagreements in a manner in which we are accepting that others may disagree with us. Remember, diversity is one of our most powerful assets.
4. Own our personal opinions by speaking in "I" statements. Share our own feelings and experiences and respect the privacy and personal boundaries of others.
5. In order to protect each persons confidentiality, what is said in this group remains in this group.
Ground Rules for Social Events:
Same as above. We may choose to participate or not participate in any event, and our choices will be supported by others in the group.
Meetings are held on Friday nights at 7:30 at the Palomar Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (PUUF). We rent space from the church but are not affiliated. Pets need to be left at home in respect for the building we rent. The third Friday of each month, the meeting will be held at The North County LGBTQ Center in Oceanside (510 N. Coast Hwy Suite C).
